ADA reception
I went to an ADA reception last night and ran into several people I hadn’t seen since the NEC last July. The reception was to recognize those who had gone “above and beyond” in fundraising over the past year. What “above and beyond” is, I’m not quite sure, but it was a nice event. I got a nice certificate and a travel coffee much. You can never have too many coffee mugs.
I saw Barb and Jeanne with whom I rode much of the last five days of the ride, and I saw Andy with whom I’d ridden much of the first two.
Barb was all ga-ga about an upcoming tour that, unfortunately, conflicts with the NEC. But to ride the Dolomites with Maurizio Fondriest would be quite fun indeed. Five days in four star hotels with the man himself. She said she may opt for that one next year.
I didn’t get to talk with Andy much, but it was good to see him. It was also good to see Faith and Dennis. The NEC route this year will cross the Kancamangus. That should be excellent!
