The damage (so far)

Much less than it could be. Much, much less.

Due in no small part, to a fantastic shop,

So far:
Bay rental time: $14.50
Tubes: $10.00
Tire: $30.00
Handlebar tape: $10.00
Subway: $2.50
Rims: TBD, either $0.00 or $300.00

The road rash on my leg isn’t so bad, but my shoulder really, really hurts. I expect it will turn black & blue. I also couldn’t figure out why my tail bone hurt so much until I was at the shop and straddled the bike to adjust the brake handles. It appears the point of the saddle must have drilled me right in the back.

So, I have a scraped up shifter handle, a damaged rim, a bruised shoulder, a banged and scraped elbow, a scraped thigh, a scraped back, and a bruised sacrum. I have yet to inspect the helmet.

All in all, a lot better than it could have been.
