But I disagree that it’s a “paradigm shift”. It’s as temporary as SUV popularity.
I also disagree that that the “US government has also done its part to promote a more bicycle-friendly environment.” They’ve done a bit. A very little bit. The state of Massachusetts has done more than the feds.

Actually, I’ve had it (v.1) for a while, but never found a really good use for it. I wanted to see if the WordPress would choke on it or not. The only really plus side (v. PDF) is that you can embed it in the page rather than have to launch a new browser. The Flash player is also way more light weight than the PDF reader.

Looks pretty choke free to me.
Re: being lightweight, tell me about it. I installed this plugin (https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=636&application=firefox) just because I was tired of waiting a day for PDFs to auto-load in Firefox, hanging the whole damn thing up.

They’ve made a few improvements in v.2 like allowing the text to be selected and copied (which can be disabled) which also allows the text to be searchable. Allowing you to launch it in a separate window (click the little window-y icon thing next to the printer) so you don’t have to zoom and pan is also a good thing.
