The Man from Planet X
I really like 50s nucular monster movies, 50s peacnik monster movies, and 50s alien monster movies. Generally. There is a lot of bad schlock (as opposed to good schlock) out there, though. This is one of them. There’s really not much reason to recap the plot. Well, okay. Alien lands, scares girl, tangles with evil scientist, loses, leaves.
The special effects were bad, and not just fun, campy, cheesey bad. They were just bad. Any grade school play could have come up with something better. The only thing of note in this thing is the evil scientist is played by William Schallert, perenial sit-com dad, although I think he may have also played a Klingon at some point.
Rating: D; would not watch again.
