John: yeah. The Coppermine code is way easier to deal with than the phpBB code. But I think I can shoehorn in the menu on the side. That's something I can do as time permits, though.

mns: thanks. I take it that means you're coming up to do the ride next summer?

Another difference is that your gallery on this site shares the same width as the rest of the site. The CNE site is narrow/left-aligned and then jumps to fullscreen in phpBB/CM.

Yes, that's one of my complaints as well. The only way to do it, IMO, is to redesign the site to use a horizontal menu, like I go here (The gallery link, above, is a Coppermine installation).

Coppermine could probably handle a menu on the left, but I don't think phpBB could. There just isn't enough real estate. I'll see what I can do, though.

I think that it came out very nice. *applause*

The one thing I don't like about it, and this probably goes against all websites that use phpBB and/or Coppermine, is that those two sections take you out of the "master" design of the site. The main navigation menu dissapears completely (for real estate reasons) and therefore seems disconnected. In order to get back, you have to click on the logo, which brings you back to home, and then you can choose to go elsewhere.

How to fix it? I don't know, outside of adding a horizontal site menu on top which would be even more confusing (site menu + phpBB/Coppermine menu = too much). Bah, I forgot what my point was.
