B2B
No, not that B2B, the good kind.
From an email:
2006 B2B ride will be on Saturday June 17, 2006
Registration opens this Sunday (January 15th).
Of course, that means I now have to make a choice between this and Outriders. Then again, Outriders seems to be pooping out a bit. The organizers are getting tired and no one is stepping up to do it, so it may not last much longer without some new blood. Me? No, I put my energies into the NEC. Besides, I’ve been involved in trying to organize gay groups before. It’s not something I’d care to repeat, frankly.
136 miles in one day is a lot, but … but … beer
The cost of the two is about the same, I think. Last year, B2B was $125 and Outriders was $50. But Outriders also required a night in P-town plus a ferry back, which puts it about even (or more, if you can’t find a place that will let you stay only one night).

I know you wanted to do it last year, so go for it. Sounds like fun. (At least at the end.)

It really all depends on Outriders. Honestly, I didn’t really enjoy anything but the ride last year, but it’s one of those things one is supposed to do. That, and it’s the only ride that leaves from nearly my front door. Then again, the Harpoon Brewery is only a short ride away. I think B2B might be a prettier ride, too. None of that South Shore traffice, etc. The Outriders ride isn’t really nice until you get to Halifax. From there on it’s nice except for a few stretches of Route 6 (or is it 6A?) on the cape.

organized rides…
occassionally I will volunteer for an organzied ride
see if you can volunteer as a “mecahnica sweep”
that way you get to have a long ride, a purpose, and an excuse to be extra social
something more than a number
BIKE NY is an organized ride I have been meaning to participate in again…
BIKE DC faded away
all are good causes
all are good for the sport
