… Record peak wind gust set at Blue Hill observatory…

A wind gust of 85 mph from the south-southeast was recorded at the
Blue Hill observatory in Milton at 1243 PM. This establishes a
record peak wind gust for January 18. The previous record was 65 mph
set in 1952. The all time January peak wind gust is 101 mph from
the south-southeast on January 9 1978.

Records at the Blue Hill observatory began on February 1 1885.
