Chilly

Met (finally) bikenerd Knox and went for a ride northwest of town. Brrr. C-c-c-cold.

Met up at the Eliot Bridge and headed to Cambridge for coffee at Carberry’s. Good coffee, but a bit slow on the service. Welcome, all the same. From there, out Mass Ave to Lexington, along Old Mass Ave, through Minuteman Park, and the Battle Road into Concord. By then, my water bottles had frozen, so we stopped at the visitors center to thaw them out a bit.

Then on to Acton, South Acton and a stop in West Concord for lunch at Twin Seafood. Yummers!

Back through Concord, past Walden, through Lincoln by the Gropius House and DeCordova then trough Waltham and Belmont on Trapelo and Concord Rd, and home.

It certainly was nice having someone to ride with. I don’t have much practice at it, so I don’t know if I was any good at it, but it was certainly fun. I don’t think I’d have gone out in the cold by myself. But in spite of the cold, I felt really good although I am tired tonight. Part of that is probably that I didn’t sleep at all last night.
