Ocean’s Eleven
Danny Ocean (George Clooney) is released from jail and plans his next caper: rob a vault holding the deposits of three Las Vegas casinos. Enter the ten other co-culprits. An excellent caper movie. Not quite on par with, say, Rififi, it was top quality. Just enough goes wrong to keep you interested if not quite on the edge of your seat. The romance between Ocean and Tess (Julia Roberts) wasn’t overplayed, and the cast worked well together. A few of the performances bordered on the thespian, notably Andy Garcia who was a little too much Godfather-like, and Pitt who was a little too much Fight Club-like, but both Carl Reiner and Eliot Gould were fantastic making for, on the whole, a very good show.
Would watch again.
