Add one more
The girl woman upstairs was given a bike by a friend of hers. She’s a runner, but was talked into trying a triathlon. Her friend was, apparently, very tall and the bike was too small, so he gave it to her. Nice deal. It’s a 53cm Giant of some kind. I adjusted the saddle and checked it over and advised her to take it to the LBS for a “major tuneup”. There’s nothing much wrong with it, but the wheels are terribly out of true and the headset was loose, so a tuneup is in order. Other than that, there seems to be a small shifting issue, the STI’s don’t seem to “catch” sometimes. I don’t know what that’s about but the guys at Community will be able to sort it out. She’s not nearly as tall as the guy who gave it to her, so she may have to buy a new stem, but other than that, a new front tire and two tubes and she’s good to go.
Hopefully, she’ll stick with it.

It’s hard to say. My guess is no, but maybe. She’s a realtor which means her hours are really weird. She seems to always be working, so it’s hard to tell when she gets her running in. Who knows where she’ll find the time to bike.
