Southwest ride

I couldn’t stand staring at the computer screen for another minute. That, plus it’s been more than two weeks since I’ve been able to get out on the bike, I had to go for a ride. I did a modified version of the southwest loop which mostly follows the Charles: JP, W. Roxbury, Dover, Sherborn, Natick, Newton, Wellesley, Watertown, Brookline, Cambridge and home. Quite a few bikes out on the road. Lots of traffic. Lots of dust or pollen or something in the air and all of it ended up in my eyes. And I hit every freakin light from West Newton back home. Boy is that annoying.

The river was high, but not flooding, although there was standing water in many places. I’ve never seen so much water going over the dams on the Charles, and it’s all a funny brown color, or at least it was at Charles River Village. I’ve got some pictures of the dam at Charles River Village, Natick, Newton Lower Falls, and Watertown. I’ll try to get those in the gallery RSN.
