Jeeves in the Offing by PG Wodehouse
Another Wooster & Jeeves (surprised?). Back to Brinkley Court, Wooster has to untangle yet another marriage proposal. This one is a bit different in that Jeeves isn’t in the book until the very end (he’s on vacation judging a bathing beauty contest) and Aunt Dahlia has been called away leaving Bertie in charge of Brinkley.
It’s also different in that Bertie does nothing wrong, he’s really the victim in all fo the hijinx. Attending to the madness is Sir Roderick Glossip (Tuppy’s uncle), the noted brain doctor, who is posing as a butler in order to observe Willie Cream, a man Aunt Dahia does not approve of, who is trying to get Roberta “Bobbie” Wickham’s hand in marriage although she’d rather marry Reggie “Kipper” Herring.
Add in the silver cow creamer, and there you go.
