Last night I got an award from SEBA, presented by the mayor’s office.
Very flattering.

re: background. It’s all I could find at short notice. It’s a cloth napkin! I found I had to light it from the back, so I was holding my bike headlight off to one side and trying to take a picture at the same time.
Anyway, the award is for the other website that I do.
Wow! Back-lit with a bike headlight and a napkin for a backdrop! That’s thinking on your feet, Todd! Honestly, that’s some serious Guerrilla photojournalist stuff, right there.
Anyway… I didn’t mean to turn this into a discussion of your photographic technique; congratulations again on your award.

Those lucite things are really hard to take pictures of.

@Todd:
You did a great job on the photograph. If the background was moved back (and either smoother or crinkly all over) it would be even better.
(I was a photographer/starving artist in a former life; here’s a glassware shot I’m particularly proud of: )

Oh, and I just saw a small writeup about you and southend.org in the Boston Courant! Can’t find it online, though.

Yipes! I see they used an archival ultra-fat photo.
