Tires
Because of the forcast for sleet and ice, I swapped out for the studded tires. I didn’t realize just how heavy these are. It’s like riding through molasses. I mean, what it must be like to ride through molasses as I’ve never actually done that. But I have ridden through some pretty muddy and sticky places, and it’s a lot like that only no sliding. It’s like someone has an elastic tied to the back of the bike.
And then they change the forcast to pure rain.
But they do make a really cool sound riding down the road. Sort of like a fire crackling or popcorn or something. Now I just have to be careful taking the studs across my wood floor getting the bike in and out of the house.

Ok, I can not help but make Molasses Flood jokes (people died, but it was a long time ago…can it now be funny?) with you and your Boston tires… YOU ARE READY FOR IT.

Ironically (possibly in the Alanis Morrisette sense), the Molassis Flood was the day after I mounted the tires.
So, yes, I IS PREPARED.
