Tea and bicycles

A friend of mine was in town on his way to a conference in Portland, ME, so a bunch of us went out for meat and beer. I took the SS, but got there late and sweaty. It’s amazing how warm it can be when it’s cold out. It’s not the (lack of) heat, it’s the humidity. But a couple of Stone IPAs later, and things were good.

On the way home, I ran into a bunch of 20-somethings waiting at a light at Beacon and Dartmouth. They were looking for somewhere to cheap to eat. They weren’t from around here (one asked “what part of town is this?”) and they said they were here for a “race in Groton“. I’ve looked and the only race I can find isn’t until the end of April. And why would they be in Boston if they were racing in Groton. I led them over to Tealuxe and left them there, and told them if they were more interested in pizza, that was higher up Newbury.

I wonder who they were.
