Cycling friendly cities
A good video advocating cycling friendly cities by looking at Denmark, Holland, and Columbia. It’s 15 minutes long, but worth it.
It’s interesting that one of the points is that cycling is essential within the city. One of the common arguments against making cities friendly in the US is that people commute too far to use a bike. Nothing stops people from using their cars to commute, but within the city, it can cut car usage dramatically. Of course, if there were cycling friendly infrastructure (like commuter trains) that could accept bikes during rush hours, it could cut usage that much more.
