Renovations, July 2

You know, if I have one complaint about this contractor, it’s that he doesn’t communicate enough. He’s doing great work and doing it very quickly, but I haven’t been through this before and if I don’t know what’s going to happen I get very uncomfortable. No one showed today. I’m not sure if that was the plan or not, but I left a message for a callback at 10. I called again at noon and got him, and he explained everything, so I’m happy again, but jeez, just call me and let me know what’s going on.

The uneven doors is natural and will be fixed when they do the “final adjustments”. The spacer by the dishwasher was left off intentionally until the d/w is in place. They may or may not be here tomorrow. Probably not since there are so many other things going on already.
There’s enough room (barely) for cabinet next to the wrong toilet tank, but I’m going to make Harrison give me the right on anyway. I called Kohler this morning (great customer support, btw) and they said the bowl for the two models is the same, so that’s a relief. It’s much easier to replace a tank than a whole toilet.

But I really need to get some work done. I billed only 85 hours last month. Not. Good. Not only from an income point of view, but I’m falling behind in deliverables. Not to mention that I’m gone for a week for the pledge ride.

Yeesh.
