Renovations, July 9
Called the builder and they likely won’t be in until Friday of this week. That’s okay by me. I’ve got a lot of things to do to get ready for the trip, and some things to arrange and pick up before they get back at it. Hopefully, they’ll be done by the time I get back next Friday.
Took some of the leftover tile back to the tile place today. I walked in and he said there was a problem with the slab for the countertop. Apparently, it’s not wide enough to make the countertop in one piece. So I extended the zipcar reservation by a couple of hours and he sent me to a different stone wholesale place, this one in Westwood. Had I known where this place was, it would have been way better to take the train. The 128 commuter rail station is about 1/2 mile from the place. Oh well.
But the good thing is that this new slab is way, way nicer than the other one.
So I drove around a bit, trying to find Wolfers in Brighton, but, not knowing that area very well, I didn’t realize that it’s Brighton Ave that turns into North Beacon. One would think, as I did, that Beacon would turn into North Beacon, but noooooo.
In other things, Harrison is still dicking my around about the toilet. Why is this so friggen difficult? Get their right tank here, I’m leaving on Friday. I’m losing patience.
