Hemangiopericytoma

Got a callback from the vet today with the lab results.

Billy

Hemangiopericytoma

I suppose that’s about as good a news as I could have expected. She said that it was only a tentative diagnosis because they can’t be 100% sure from only a needle aspirate, but she was pretty confident as she’s seen them before. She said it could also be a spindle cell tumor, but that would be less common.

The good news is that this type of cancer does not move or spread to distant parts of the body. It is cancer though, so the next step is to schedule an appointment at Angell and see what they have to say.
