I’m back
That was a difficult trip. I hadn’t been back there in 15 years. The town is still dying, I’m pleased to say. There were about 14,000 people when I lived there in high school. There are about 9,000 now.
The funeral ceremony was a bit too jesusy for me, but then it wasn’t for me, so it was fine. There were a couple of people there who seemed to have a tangential agenda though. I think that’s about all I want to say about that.
It was good to see all of that branch of the family, though. I hadn’t met the younger generations wives at all and they now have kids (1 and 6 mo). They’re both in serious competition for cutest baby evar.
The flight back was delayed, but only by about an hour. Ground fog looks pretty cool from the air. CAK airport is pretty nice. Very small and well appointed. Free wifi. (You hear that Logan?)
Work has piled up even though I was only gone three work days. ugh.
