Cycling of 2007
A very down year, comparatively. Only 1681 recorded miles. There’s probably another 800-1000 in commuting and other around-town stuff that I don’t record, but still, pretty low. Renovations screwed up most of it as two of the bikes ended up in the cellar during all the work, and are still there. I haven’t been on the bike since early October! And now that we’ve had the snowiest December in 30 years, it’s unlikely I’ll be on the road until late spring. Who knows what kind of shape I’ll be in by then.
Only 2 centuries v. 6 the year before. One was the 100+ day in NEC, the other was the p-town ride. No regular club centuries at all. I tried quite a few, but my body is letting me down, particularly my knee.
I’ll be doing NEC again this year, but I will probably take a break next year and do a ride somewhere else. Maybe RAGBRAI, maybe something else. That’s a long way off yet.
I’m in a frump and need to find a way to work out of it.
