Difficult night
I think it’s going to be a tough night. And yesterday went so well. He’s had about 4 episodes so far today. He normally doesn’t have them in the daytime, but it seems to be getting worse,
I gave him his prednisone at 8, after one of the episodes, but he had another one at 10. I think he may not have gotten the one at 8 down, so I gave him another at 10. Anti-inflammatory dosing of prednisone is described as 0.1 to 0.3 mg per pound up to twice per day. He’s 40 pounds, so that’s 4 to 12 mg. These are 5mg tabs. Immunosuppresive doses are much higher (up to 3 mg/lb), so we’re okay.
He’s resting comfortably and quietly now. I think part of it may have been brought on by his laying on his side this evening. He’s got himself propped up vertically now and is fast asleep with no apparent discomfort.
