I am so sad that he last days had so many difficulties. It must have been so difficult to see your longtime pal suffer. It is a sad day. Poor old cheerful dog!
I am so sad to hear this. I know that with time the depths of sadness that you feel right now _will_ heal and be replaced with the many memories of the life you were able to share with Billy. Many are the visions of watching you two, camera in hand, walking through the Sound End, ready for your next adventure. He was a great companion, only surpassed by the good life you provided.
….Know now that Billy is now in a place where he can heal… and run among the flowers in the spring air.
