[netflix] [IMDb]
I haven’t been watching too many movies lately, obviously. This one has been sitting on top of the TV since December some time. I’ve mostly been catching up on old tv shows.
But anyway.
A petulant Batman (Christian Bale) encounters a psychotic Joker (Heath Ledger) in his attempts to clean up Gotham City. Along the way [...]

I’ve been without my Bailey Works bag for a week and I’ve felt nekkid! The D ring on the take-up strap broke, and every time I grabbed it, it would pinch and it tore a hole in my glove. So I sent it back for replacement. I never realized how much of my life is [...]

Armstrong gets plate, 12 screws in collarbone.
Quite a bit worse than they first, eh? I wonder how many times WADA tested his blood during the operation? They’ll probably suspend him for a couple years for taking a pain killer.
I mean, assuming he did, of course. Of which I have no knowledge.

150,000 spams since Oct, 06 when I turned on the Akismet spam filter on this hyar bloggy thing.
You can see the days the site was down.
The chart is the last six months, by day.

It seems Netflix rolled out their change to Silverlight on the Windows platform some time over the weekend. First reaction: meh. The picture seems about the same, but it’s jerkier on my old laptop. Then again, it’s a big plus not having to fire up IE just for Netflix.
Next stop: see if it works better [...]

Or maybe we’re at sunspot max?
Last Friday, the server that hosts finial.com, southend.org, and NewEnglandClassic.org went down hard. Unfortunate timing as the ADA Expo was Saturday, so the site was down nearly a full day ahead of time.
Bad.
The last night, my DSL from Speakeasy went down nearly all night long. There lives finial.us, todddavis.org, hulver.panograph.net [...]

A good article on what’s going on in this state.
CommonWealth Unbound: An increasingly ordinary leader.
I was a Deval Patrick supporter. No more. Nothing has changed, and nothing will. That much is clear.
Do I mind paying higher taxes? Yes. But I’ll do it if it’s necessary. When is it necessary? That’s the question. When is it [...]

Worked at the Diabetes Expo on Saturday at the Trade Center in the Tour de Cure booth. It was hard to tell from where our station was, but it looked to me like the thing was really well attended. We were kind of off to the side, right at the entrance, so we saw the [...]

I bought a giga switch over the weekend. $49.99 with a $15 rebate. It arrived yesterday. Today the price dropped $10. They’ll only honor the lower price if it hasn’t shipped yet and will charge a 15% restocking fee if I return it (plus postage, of course).
Argh!

And how to work around it.
n.b. This has nothing to do with cycling. This is more to record what to do in case I have to repeat it.
CF has the option of putting client variables in a database rather than cookies or the registry. I wanted to do this, but I didn’t want to install [...]

Man, if you think Boston is hard to find your way around in, it’s nothing compared to Worcester.
I had to go out there for a meeting yesterday. The meeting was 11 to 4, then we were supposed to meet a friend and a nearby pub for a quick drink before coming back home. The train [...]
