Oh, about the GPS

I guess GPS’s and I aren’t meant to get along.

I had the GPS on teh bike for the P-town ride, but for some reason, it didn’t “track”. So I have no record of the times, &c, other than the cyclometer. I guess it’s time to get rid of them.

So, I have two Garmin GPSs for a very good price if anyone wants them.

    Hmmm. What model? And will it mount on my handlebars? I have one for my car, but if there’s one that’ll give better bike-centric info, that might be fun.

    One is a Garmin eTrex Legend (blue) and the other is a Garmin eTrex Venture (yellow). I have one handlebar mount. Neither one really has a good amount of detail for me. I’m just not sure they’re meant for bikes, in spite of how they’re sold.

    I think the model I have will probably be better (for me, at least). It’s probably a little bigger than that, and I’ll need to look for a handlebar mount for it, but it’s in color, and seems to have more detail. Sorry….

    No problem. As I say, I really don’t think it’s all that great for bikes. I think it would be better for geocaching, maybe.
